ABOUT THE JOB
The chiropractic assistant with Marathon Health may assist in basic health care duties involved in the practice of chiropractic care under the supervision of a Doctor of Chiropractic. The chiropractic assistant will perform delegated duties that commensurate with the chiropractic assistant’s education and training when assisting Marathon Health’s chiropractor providing day-to-day care and wellness of our patients. In addition, the Chiropractor Assistant will help support the client in the worksite with wellness initiatives and other requested worksite support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome patients as they enter the office.
- Answer phone calls and emails as needed.
- Schedule clients for appointments as needed.
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist with treatment as necessary per provider prescription.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with infection control policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform CQM’s as needed.
- Assist patients with check-in/check-out, referrals, pre-authorizations as needed.
- Check and record vital signs, new/old health history daily problem.
- Provide basic sort tissue work to specific body areas as directed by provider.
- Provide modalities as directed by provider including hot & cold packs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, cupping, taping.
- Assist with general office coverage when provider is absent.
- Attend continuing education classes as needed per state and certification requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED and previous experience in a healthcare setting. This experience can be in a medical or clinical setting, such as a hospital or a physician’s office. Current BLS certification. State applicable chiropractic assistant’s certifications.

- Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state and federal law.
Pay Range: $22.00-27.00/hr
