ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to the VP of Enterprise Marketing, the Director of B2B Marketing plays a pivotal role in developing and executing Marathon Health’s B2B marketing strategy, driving strategies and deliverables spanning content marketing, event marketing, digital and website, demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), and more to drive pipeline growth and customer engagement. This role leads a range of marketing initiatives targeting employers, unions, consultants, and payers, ensuring seamless integration with the Sales and Client Success teams to accelerate revenue growth and retention. They align marketing programs with business goals, improve campaign performance, drive marketing-to-sales efficiency, and enhance client loyalty.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead pipeline generation strategies to drive high-quality MQLs, ensuring seamless handoff to Sales, and the successful actioning thereof in collaboration with leadership.
- Partner with the VP of Enterprise Marketing to drive engagement and demand both nationally and within Marathon’s boosted and priority markets (6 annually).
- Partner with the VP of Enterprise Marketing to increase the volume of qualified leads and account prospects at the top of the funnel, accelerate the nurturing and movement of such mid-funnel, and help Growth successfully close late-stage prospects at the bottom.
- Partner with the Director of Solutions Marketing to integrate Marathon’s service offerings within campaigns, underscoring our ROI story with data-driven and human-centric impacts.
- Partner with the Director of Content and Comms to leverage thought leadership content within Marathon’s campaigns, including materials harvested from ENGAGE, roundtables, and other events, along with notable press coverage.
- Develop and orchestrate omnichannel marketing campaigns (email, paid search, paid/organic social media, events, webinars, and more) to generate awareness and demand.
- Oversee B2B content development and the distribution thereof, ensuring alignment with buyer personas and market trends to fuel demand generation and sales enablement. Ensure coverage across key industries, including Unions, Gov/Ed, and Manufacturing.
- Manage SEO/SEM strategies, driving high-quality organic traffic and paid search performance to improve inbound lead flow. Leverage Marathon’s blog as a vehicle to expand the usefulness of and encourage downloads of gated/high-value content.
- Plan and optimize digital advertising in coordination with Marathon’s paid media agency (Google Ads, LinkedIn, programmatic, display) to maximize ROI.
- Develop industry and persona-centric email campaigns at various funnel stages to increase velocity.
- Develop multi-variant testing strategies (A/B testing) to refine messaging, creative, and conversion tactics.
- Manage the corporate website, ensuring it serves as a high-converting lead generation tool and aligns with SEO best practices.
- Develop and execute ABM strategies targeting high-value employer, union, and payer accounts, leveraging personalized content and outreach tactics.
- Partner with the Senior Manager of Marketing Automation to ensure seamless integration between marketing automation platforms (HubSpot) and CRM (Salesforce), and the proper usage of other technologies within Marketing and Sales efforts.
- Partner with Marathon’s paid media agency and the Senior Manager of Marketing Automation to report on campaign performance, funnel conversion rates, marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline and revenue impact, and more.
- Regularly assess marketing KPIs and attribution models, ensuring data-driven decision-making in campaign execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, or growth marketing, preferably in healthcare.
- Proven experience leading high-impact B2B marketing campaigns, generating demand, and aligning efforts with sales teams.
- Deep expertise in content strategy, event marketing, digital marketing, paid media, marketing operations, and attribution models.
- Experience running multi-channel demand generation and ABM campaigns, leveraging email, content syndication, paid media, and more.
- Strong grasp of buyer journey mapping and persona-driven marketing strategies.
- Experience managing marketing automation and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, 6sense).
- Strong collaboration skills, working cross-functionally with Sales, Client Success, and Product teams.
- Excellent project management capabilities, juggling multiple campaigns, deadlines, and priorities.

PAY RANGE: $90,000 - $120,000 (.6FTE)
This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
