ABOUT THE JOB

The MSK Specialist & Collaborating Provider is an integral part of the healthcare continuum responsible for a combination of preventative, educational and assessment client facing worksite support. This role is responsible for assuring that all employees receive evidence based musculoskeletal care and injury prevention through providing body mechanics education, coaching, ergonomics and safety information, wellness initiatives, early symptom intervention, line walk throughs, and other onsite support. The MSK Specialist & Collaborating Provider will also provide as needed annual MSK wellness assessments, initial MSK injury screens, and OSHA level first aid as applicable. This individual will also maintain a positive working relationship and collaboration with other health professionals and ancillary staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct thorough chart reviews of musculoskeletal (MSK) cases to ensure appropriate diagnosis, treatment planning, and alignment with occupational health best practices for assigned providers at certain health centers.
  • Collaborate closely with APP’s and other clinical team members at assigned health centers to optimize MSK care pathways and outcomes.
  • Provide expert clinical insight and oversight for MSK-related protocols, guidelines, and clinical decision support.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational policies regarding occupational health documentation and case review.
  • Participate in clinical quality assurance processes, peer reviews, and case escalations as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in MSK-related occupational health concerns, offering guidance and support to clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Functions as part of care continuum and medical team.
  • Conduct musculoskeletal screens and provide early symptom intervention with OSHA first aid for musculoskeletal dysfunction.
  • Provides real-time ergonomic evaluations & body mechanics coaching at worksite for employees.
  • Be the subject matter expert and provide customized education & training presentations.
  • Conduct Post Offer Employment Testing (POET’s), physical demands analysis, and other client-specific assessments as applicable.
  • Accurate and timely electronic documentation and support of client-specific reports.
  • Communicates and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to best deliver care to employees and maintain optimal health in work environment.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with infection control policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Attendance at all Marathon Health center training sessions (including EMR training).
  • Identify community health needs and strategies to address them.

QUALIFICATIONS

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Active, unrestricted medical licensure in Maine (ME), New York (NY), and South Carolina (SC). Board certification in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty. Current BLS certification. Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state, federal, and company guidelines. Ergonomic training, certification, or experience a plus.

Pay Range: $102,000 - $150,000/yr for 24hrs a week schedule.
