ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Physical Therapist (PT) to lead onsite workplace prevention initiatives. This role focuses on reducing musculoskeletal (MSK) risk, improving employee health, and supporting operational safety through ergonomic and preventative strategies. The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with a strong understanding of occupational health and ergonomics to deliver impactful programs that enhance workforce well-being and productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Workplace Prevention & Ergonomics
- Conduct line walks and job task observations to identify ergonomic risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform ergonomic assessments for workstations, tools, and processes to minimize MSK strain.
- Develop and implement preventative programming based on ergonomic risk analysis.
- Early Symptom Intervention
- Provide early intervention strategies for employees presenting with MSK discomfort to prevent progression.
- Deliver OSHA-compliant first aid for musculoskeletal dysfunction within workplace guidelines.
- Program Development
- Collaborate with leadership to design and execute comprehensive MSK prevention programs.
- Build out post-offer, pre-employment physical demands testing aligned with job requirements and ADA compliance.
- Develop physical demands analyses (PDA) for critical roles to inform hiring and safety practices.
- Future Scope
- Establish protocols for managing recordable care and post-accident physical therapy as the program evolves.
- Support integration of full MSK continuum management within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in ergonomics or industrial rehabilitation.
- Experience with physical demands analysis and functional testing.
- Background in managing MSK-related injury prevention programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS, MS or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university (CAPTE). Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Physical Therapist. Current BLS certification. Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state, federal, and APTA guidelines. Outpatient experience for adolescent and adult population. Ergonomic training, certification, or experience a plus.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000/yr
