ABOUT THE JOB

The Director, Corporate Learning, leads Marathon Health’s enterprise learning strategy, ensuring quality, consistency, and measurable impact across all programs. This role designs and governs the frameworks that drive accountability and align learning with compliance, operational needs, and organizational priorities. The leader in this role will reimagine how we upskill teammates and develop professional, leadership, and team capabilities to enhance performance, engagement, and readiness. Responsibilities include defining strategic capability plans, delivering learner-centered experiences, embedding just-in-time development into the flow of work, and driving enterprise-wide adoption of modern learning practices.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of transforming organizations through impactful learning solutions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with Marathon Health’s mission, strategy, and priorities. The Director of Corporate Learning will lead with a business-first mindset, leveraging strong L&D expertise to drive measurable performance and advance enterprise outcomes and results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Learning Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and structure for Marathon Health University (MHU) as the integrated enterprise learning ecosystem connecting onboarding, clinical education, operational enablement, and talent development.
  • Set and execute the enterprise learning strategy to align all learning initiatives with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and Marathon Health’s mission and values.
  • Establish and lead the Learning Governance Committee, establishing structures, processes, and decision-making protocols that ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across the enterprise learning ecosystem.
  • Design and implement frameworks, standards, and workflows that ensure consistency, quality, and accountability across learning programs.
  • Lead and develop team members through clear expectations, coaching, and support to ensure goals, targets, and deadlines are consistently met in a people-centric, strengths-based environment.
  • Oversee the planning, management, and execution of large-scale learning initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, resource coordination, and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies that prepare leaders and teammates for new learning programs, technologies, and processes.

Learning Experience, Design & Delivery

  • Conduct comprehensive learning needs assessments and translate findings into prioritized learning strategies that directly align with Marathon Healthn’s strategic plan and most critical business objectives.
  • Drive enterprise-wide upskilling, reskilling, and leadership development initiatives that strengthen capabilities across all levels and functions.
  • Build scalable, future-focused development programs that meet current and emerging business needs across clinical, operational, and leadership roles.
  • Oversee leadership and team development frameworks that build consistent management practices, strengthen team effectiveness, and cultivate future leaders.
  • Create foundational learning experiences that support career growth, leadership readiness, and internal mobility throughout the teammate lifecycle.
  • Develop scalable content strategies and frameworks that enable rapid, high-quality creation and deployment of learning across all audiences.
  • Modernize content design and delivery through technology, AI, and just-in-time performance support tools, and incorporate innovative learning models, such as social learning, simulations, peer learning, and experiential methods, to strengthen engagement and retention.
  • Implement reinforcement strategies to ensure sustained skill adoption and long-term behavior change.
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration where growth is a shared organizational responsibility.

Technology, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee the enterprise learning technology ecosystem, including Workday Learning, LMS platforms, and related tools, to ensure seamless integration, strong usability, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Provide strategic and operational oversight of learning systems to support efficient delivery, compliance tracking, and scalable development solutions.
  • Translate learning data into actionable insights that inform capability-building strategies, talent decisions, and operational priorities.
  • Develop and manage enterprise learning measurement, reporting, and dashboards to ensure outcomes are transparent, measurable, and tied to organizational impact.
  • Monitor and evaluate learning effectiveness using diverse measurement methods including analytics, assessments, dashboards, and qualitative feedback to ensure programs drive measurable performance and capability outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor learning program standards, including content approval, version control, and evaluation practices, to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency across the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field, Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Learning Science, OD, MBA) and 8+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise learning, talent development, organizational development, or organizational effectiveness initiatives or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven ability to design, deliver, and scale learning programs aligned with business strategy and organizational priorities. Demonstrated experience building and sustaining governance structures that ensure consistency, quality, and accountability.

  • Builds collaborative partnerships across Clinical Operations, HR, Growth, and other functions to align development priorities with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrates innovation and agility by introducing forward-thinking learning methods such as social learning, immersive simulations, and AI to drive engagement and scale.
  • Delivers operational excellence by building sustainable systems, processes, and structures that enhance efficiency, accessibility, and quality across the learning ecosystem.
  • Applies analytical acumen to use data and insights for decision-making, identifying skill gaps, and continuously improving learning effectiveness.
  • Communicates with impact, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels through clear, compelling, and inspiring communication.
  • Adapts to emerging trends, staying current with industry shifts and evolving learning technologies to ensure strategies meet future business and workforce needs

Pay Range: $125,000 - $160,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
