About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Servicing and Collections to join our commercial team and provide servicing and collections oversight on the assets acquired by Pagaya via its partnership network. The team is based in NY with the mission to grow the revenue and profitability of our strategic partnerships with banks, digital lending platforms and specialty finance companies across the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Servicing Strategy: Build Pagaya’s baseline understanding, reporting and metrics driven strategy to manage servicing across all asset classes (personal loans, auto loans, point of sale and credit cards) and partners. Design 6-12 month servicing strategy across reporting, monitoring, KPIs, best practices and new initiatives.
  • Optimize Servicing Economics: Own servicing performance across the asset classes and drive growth in profitability both in returns for investors and fee revenue for Pagaya. Support setting new standards and negotiation of new servicing contracts. Maximize returns by asset class through development & implementation of best practice strategies and development of new creative products/services.
  • Credit Risk / Asset Performance: Develop and manage ongoing monitoring approach, via reporting, documentation, partner evaluations to manage the business risk and portfolio profitability. Work across internal stakeholders from Capital Markets, Risk, Research, and Legal to maximize the profitability of each partnership and structure new performance enhancing opportunities.
  • New Product Development: Identify, design and implement new servicing products or services leveraging Pagaya’s unique market position and network to create value for partners while reducing risk and/or generating revenue for Pagaya. Create value-add insights including identifying the underlying value proposition through data analyses.
  • Extend Pagaya Network: Attend community and/or industry-specific forums, conferences and/or meetings in order to broaden relationship network and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, regulations, products, and competitors.
  • Drive Results: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. You should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment. Identify and address internal processes that can be improved or automated.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as an operator directly managing loan servicing and collections in consumer credit
  • Experience working with B2C Fintech companies, particularly online lenders, and/or auto financing companies, a big plus. Intimate knowledge of the consumer credit space and the relevant players
  • Persuasive and powerful communicator able to take complex ideas and convey them simply, build alignment and manage difficult conversations
  • Proven experience working with external vendors and/or clients/partners, negotiations and tech/process implementation
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, negotiation, client-relationship building, analytical and credit skills
  • Strong quantitative and technical abilities
  • Ability to deliver complex messages in a clear and robust way
  • High attention to detail
  • Problem solver with a positive attitude
  • A blend of curiosity, analytical thinking, creativity, adaptability, and relentlessness to drive projects to completion

  • Regular travel to New York and partner sites

The pay ranges for New York-based hires are commensurate with candidate experience.

Pay ranges for candidates working in locations other than New York may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
