Salesforce Software Engineer II

About The Role:

The Salesforce Developer is responsible for working with the Salesforce Administrator and the Senior Director, Marketing and Sales Technologies - Enterprise Systems in close partnership with internal, service-line stakeholders, development, operations, and technical teams to support, and/or lead Salesforce initiatives across the enterprise.

Activities will include research, design, development, and implementation of solutions leveraging Salesforce and other third-party products and services, in addition to support, administration, and training.

• Work collaboratively with Salesforce Administrator in the enhancement and support of Salesforce
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximize Salesforce system adoption, business functionality, and user experience leveraging the full feature offerings.
• Serve as Salesforce integration and code SME and escalation point of contact.
• Contribute to Salesforce roadmap and targeted efforts in executing strategies for the enterprise.
• Develop mastery of business processes to diagnose problems, provide insight, and research solutions that lead to improvement initiatives.
• Define improvement initiatives and participate in strategic planning and project initiation activities.
• Design business requirements for the development and deployment of Salesforce business solutions, in accordance with strategic business plans.
• Own Salesforce development and partial sandbox environments.
• Aid in the employee education on Salesforce feature functionality, policies, and best practices.
• Produce communication as needed for IT, End Users and partners related to changes and feature enhancements to Salesforce and other utilized third-party solutions.
• In close cooperation with the Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce team, develop documentation for newly deployed technologies and implement the Service Level Agreement.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

• 5+ years developing and implementing Salesforce Solutions (APEX, Lighting, Visualforce)
• A full understanding of the Salesforce platform technology stack: this includes APEX development, Lightning components, Visualforce, workflows, triggers, validation rules, and AppExchange platform integrations.
• Exceptional understanding of the following supporting technical concepts:
• Strong foundation in gathering business requirements, solution design, software change management, deployment, and documentation.
• Security Access Controls.
• Experience in management of Infrastructure and/or IT deployment projects.
• Technical Project Management experience is a plus.
• Salesforce Developer, Salesforce Administration, or other development certifications are a plus.
