Position Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and improving the day-to-day HR operations. This role acts as the main point of contact for HR related matters and is accountable for aligning business objectives across assigned locations. The HRBP serves as an advisor to management, acts as a change agent, and owns, onboarding/off-boarding, employee engagement, performance management, training and development, as well as other project based initiatives.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Advise managers on employee relations issues, review/draft performance improvement plans, and execute terminations as necessary
  • Facilitate employee and manager training for assigned sites by delivering presentations, and leading discussions in front of a large groups
  • Manage the complete onboarding/off-boarding process for employees which includes new hire orientation, manager communication, preparing new hire meeting agendas, , , etc.
  • Partner with the recruiting team and key stakeholders to understand the headcount, advise on job descriptions, research compensation data, manage requisition approvals, and make recommendations to hiring managers in order to align with our internal career ladder structure
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Lead key HR initiatives and be able to rollout new HR programs to assigned office locations
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the HR team to develop improved policies, programs, and solutions
  • In alignment with the culture initiative, identify and implement ideas to enhance the workplace culture, improve workplace relationships, and boost and retention
  • Analyze data trends and metrics to inform business decisions
  • Draft and distribute employee communications as necessary, i.e. new hires, engagement events, training initiatives, etc.
  • In partnership with recruiting team, assist with outreach efforts with local and national diversity recruiting efforts and assist with identifying and developing relationships with key organizations to help build a candidate pipeline
  • Participate in the development, design and implementation of retention strategies and programs to ensure the retention of top talent
  • Conduct new hire follow up meetings, collect data and be able to provide feedback to managers and senior leaders
  • Track all FMLA and STD claims for employees going out on leave
  • Answer employee questions and troubleshoot HR system issues
  • Audit key records and validate current HR practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent field of study
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a Human Resources role

Other Required:

  • Exceptional organizational, customer service, interpersonal communication skills with the flexibility to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment and the ability to actively participate and sometimes lead cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
  • Demonstrated knowledge in all areas of HR to include but not be limited to, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Able to travel domestically (20-25%) including overnight stays
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive in
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, fluently and comprehend the English language

Preferred:

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
  • Previous experience working for a federal contractor under the requirements of an Affirmative Action Plan
  • Experience supporting organizations of 100 – 500 employees within a decentralized or matrix style structure
  • Previous experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRMS system

Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
