Clinical Data Analyst
Precision for Medicine
Position Summary:
The Clinical Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and managing specimen inventory databases by compiling, analyzing, and verifying data. The Clinical Data Analyst will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to standardize data collection processes and to ensure that data can be shared and accessed across multiple platforms.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and compile externally and internally sourced data
- Development of clinical data testing systems, including design, documentation, implementation, and reporting
- Working closely with the clinical operations, laboratory operations, and data management teams to ensure accurate and consistent collecting and recording of data
- Development of procedures or software to compile data from multiple sources or platforms into comprehensive reports
- Implementation of project-specific procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and internal best practices
- Writing of standard operating procedures and work instructions related to data analysis workflows
- Training of fellow employees and external users in the use of equipment and software
- Updating and reporting relevant results to internal and external stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, BioInformatics or related field
- At least 3 years relevant work experience
Other Required:
- Advanced in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Able to handle a variety of clinical research tasks
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Requires good attention to detail, excellent documentation skills and must work well in a group environment
- Must be a flexible agile team player who can change activities and directions quickly and respond to a variety of assignment and changing business needs
- Good technical skills in querying and analyzing data (Excel, SQL, Oracle, or similar)
- Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, BioInformatics or related field.
- Programming/data analyzing experience in Medrio, SQL, Oracle, or similiar
