About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in actuarial analysis, particularly within the healthcare or insurance industry, and exposure to Medicare Advantage is a plus.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct actuarial analysis to support various business functions.
- Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support actuarial assumptions and decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Support financial forecasting and budgeting efforts.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in actuarial methodologies.
- In your first 90 days: Begin to conduct basic actuarial analyses and data analyses, gaining a foundational understanding of key business functions and financial reporting requirements while starting to support team efforts.
- Within your first 6 months: Start to contribute to financial forecasting and budgeting processes with guidance, work effectively with cross-functional teams on assigned tasks, and ensure adherence to basic regulatory requirements while learning about actuarial methodologies.
- Future success: Develop a solid grasp of actuarial processes, gradually identify and suggest improvements, and contribute to supporting business objectives and regulatory compliance as you build expertise and take on more complex responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of actuarial experience, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
- You are pursuing Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation..
- You have experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
Preferred Qualifications
You have a proficient level of programming skills, such as in SQL or R
- Expert user of Excel
- Proficiency in python programming
- Consulting and/or Client management experience

Compensation:
- A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $108,000 to $132,000, with an additional annual bonus target percentage.
- The final compensation for this role is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
