Rillet is committed to recruiting and retaining exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity across our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage, and industry, with salary being one component of our comprehensive compensation package. Salary determinations consider multiple factors including location, relevant experience, skill level, qualifications assessed during the interview process, and internal equity with team peers.

While we provide general salary expectations for each role, we're open to considering candidates with varying experience levels and will communicate any range adjustments accordingly. The salary ranges we share are for U.S.-based candidates. For candidates in other regions, ranges may differ and will be clearly communicated during the process.

What We Do

Rillet serves finance teams. Our customers are the financial brains of their companies. Our job is to help them run the numbers with impossible speed, accuracy, and insight.

Rillet is an AI-native ERP that can drive a zero-day close. We are different because of our unified source-of-truth data model, hundreds of best-in-class native integrations (Stripe, Ramp, Salesforce, etc), automated & auditable workflows, multi-entity consolidation, and quickly expanding army of specialized AI agents (e.g., accrual, audit, P&L flux, board decks, etc). These earn us a consistently perfect customer satisfaction score. High-growth AI customers like Windsurf, Postscript, and Finch love our ship velocity, because their financial stack needs to scale as quickly as they do.

This huge market is ours to take. We have raised $100M from leading investors (including Sequoia, a16z, Iconiq, Oak HC/FT, and First Round) to help everyone run their numbers at the speed of AI.

Who We Are

Rillet’s pace is not for everyone. Intelligence is table stakes. To succeed here, you need extreme speed, agency, and flexibility.

Successful Rilleteers do not wait for assignments. They internalize a mission, design a strategy, and bring back results that are better, faster, and more creative than a manager could have asked for.

Work revolves around our customers. Successful Rilleteers are energized by delivering the most important things, even those that weren’t in the original plan.

In this role, you do not need to be an accountant. But you do need to appreciate the value that our customers can create for their own company when we equip them with the perfect financial tools. Successful Rilleteers love powering the financial core of the world’s fastest-growing companies.

Who We Need:

We're building the future of accounting and finance software, and we need a dynamic Engineering Manager to help us get there. You'll lead one of our product feature teams through an exciting growth phase, working side-by-side with our CTO, product, and design teams to create industry-defining solutions. This is a rare opportunity to shape both the technical direction and team culture at Rillet from the ground up.

While we offer flexible work arrangements, we're looking for someone excited about helping us build our presence in San Francisco Bay Area or New York City as we grow, whether that's through occasional office time, team gatherings, or local hiring efforts.

What You'll Do:

  • Shape the future. Help architect Rillet's long-term technical vision and strategic roadmap as we scale.

  • Build, don't just execute. Partner with product managers, designers, and finance experts to influence what we build, not just how we build it.

  • Drive impact. Own and deliver multiple high-stakes product initiatives from conception to launch.

  • Set the bar. Champion engineering excellence by shipping reliable, high-quality software that delights users.

  • Grow your team. Lead, mentor, and unlock potential in talented engineers while building a world-class engineering culture.

  • Build the team. Recruit and onboard exceptional engineers who will help scale our impact.

  • Roll up your sleeves. Get hands-on with code during this critical growth phase, contributing directly to Rillet's technical foundation.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years managing engineering teams at product-driven tech companies, with 5+ years in engineering

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who excels at translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Proven ability to move fast and deliver results in dynamic, high-growth environments

  • Recent hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript and CI/CD practices

  • User-focused problem solver with a passion for building elegant, practical solutions

  • Continuous learner who loves mentoring others and elevating the entire team

Life at Rillet:

  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: Backed by world-class investors, we offer strong salaries plus equity so you share in our success. We've got you covered with top-tier health and dental insurance, premiums partially or fully covered for you, plus 90% coverage for dependents.

  • Room to Grow: We're building a team of ambitious, high-performing people who will grow with the company. As Rillet scales, so will your role, responsibilities, and compensation.

  • Flexibility That Works: Take the time you need with flexible PTO and 9 company-wide holidays. We value both the flexibility of remote and hybrid work and the creativity and energy that comes from in-person collaboration at our hubs in San Francisco, NYC, and Barcelona.

  • Build Real Connections: Great work happens when people connect. Join us for team offsites in incredible locations, our team has bonded everywhere from New York and San Francisco to Toronto, Italy, France, and beyond.

Compensation Range: $220K - $260K
