We’re improving access to quality healthcare for everyone, everywhere, and improving access to healthcare careers for those who need them most

Our values:

We credit much of our success to our exceptional team. We’re looking for mission-driven builders who thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, and embody our four core values:

  • Care first: We do whatever it takes for our students to succeed.

  • Learn quickly: We test, learn with data, and iterate.

  • Build together: We win when we rely on each other.

  • Own it: We show up, take initiative, and show pride.

The opportunity:

We are seeking a Clinical Educator to teach Stepful's Patient Care Associate cohort at our hospital partner site in Manhattan, NY. This role has two core responsibilities:

  • Facilitating hands-on learning in a simulation lab using simulation equipment and following Stepful's established curriculum

  • Supporting students through their clinical rotations at our hospital partner site

In the simulation lab, the Clinical Educator delivers structured skills training based on Stepful's curriculum, guiding students through the hands-on competencies required for the Patient Care Associate role. In clinical rotations, they integrate seamlessly into a live healthcare environment, coordinating with hospital staff, navigating site-specific protocols, and facilitating student rotations to ensure every student is clinically ready to enter the workforce.

This is a 1099 contract role that requires in-person instruction at our hospital and training center partner location, so candidates must be local to the location site (Manhattan, NY) or willing to travel for the duration of the course.

What you’ll do:

  • Teach and facilitate skills labs for Stepful's Patient Care Associate cohort. Demonstrate proper patient care techniques, provide live step-by-step instruction, and supervise student practice.

  • Assess student competency and provide feedback and remediation as needed. Ensure that students achieve mastery of foundational patient care skills before advancing through clinical rotations.

  • Coordinate with hospital preceptors and site staff to align student clinical rotations with program goals and navigate site-specific protocols.

  • Document student progress and report on clinical outcomes.

  • Represent Stepful on-site with our hospital and training center partner, supporting a positive experience for students and clinical staff alike.

  • Program delivery (July 18 – August 21): On-site in Manhattan, Saturday through Tuesday, 7:00 am – 2:00 pm EST, leading skill labs and conducting clinical rotations with students.
