USHV is looking to add to our phenomenal team of Vascular Sonographers in Tucson, Arizona at Pima Heart and Vascular. This is a great opportunity to work closely with board-certified physicians who have been caring for hearts in the community for over 40 years.

Summary: Perform venous ultrasound studies and assist with endovenous procedures as directed by providers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform venous duplex exams (venous insufficiency, R/O DVT) and report findings in an accurate manner.
  • Assist providers during endovenous ablation procedures (RFA, VenaSeal, Varithena), microphlebectomy, and sclerotherapy.
  • Maintain equipment, image storage and assist managing supply inventory.
  • Collaborate with coworkers in the turnaround of treatment rooms to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients and coworkers.
  • Safeguard the privacy of patient information.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with an unwavering positive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt and deal with an evolving environment.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographers (RVS).
  • Experience with endovenous ablation procedures.
  • 2 years vascular ultrasound experience preferred, but willing to train the right new graduate.
  • Experience with endovenous ablation procedures.

Medical specialties: Cardiology

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8am-5pm) – No weekends or holidays

Experience:

  • Endovenous ablation procedures: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Vascular ultrasound: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • certificate from an accredited Ultrasound program (Required)
  • RVT or RVS (Preferred/must be attained within 1 year of hire date)

EMR System: NextGen
