US Heart and Vascular is in need of a full time Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ who will perform all vascular modalities.

Summary:

Vascular sonographer will rotate to vein center and vascular team and perform all vascular modalities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to effectively operate sonographic equipment
• Addresses problems of patient care as they arise and makes decisions to appropriately resolve the problems
• Ability to evaluate sonograms in order to acquire appropriate diagnostic information
• Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, patient history and medical records, and adapt sonographic examination as necessary
• Maintains a daily log of patients seen/completes exam billing forms
• Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies Participates in the maintenance of laboratory accreditation
• Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each cardiovascular examination performed
• Ability to evaluate and communicate diagnostic information to the individual office physician
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers
• Ability to follow established department procedures
• Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations
• Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the office area
• Reports equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member
• Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
• Some travel between facilities may be required
• Other related duties as assigned

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday at one work location, no travel required

Experience:

• Vascular sonography: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Preferred)
• Registered Vascular Sonographers (Preferred)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (Preferred)
