US Heart and Vascular is in search of a referral specialist to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answers phone calls in a timely and efficient manner using the AIDET customer service key words

• Transfers calls according to procedures

• Schedules appointments in a timely and efficient manner

• Schedules appointments as directed by referring providers

• Uses scheduling books routinely

• Pages providers for hospital consults/call backs according to procedures

• Confirming of appointments

• Enters authorization information on patient account in computer

• Maintains information in a confidential manner

• Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner

• Attended required meetings and participates in committees as required

• Safeguard the privacy of patient health information

• Performs related work as required

Requirements:

• Knowledge in healthcare and cardiology is preferred

• Ability to effectively communicate

• Must have at least one year reception or phone operator experience
