Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Lead Medical Assistant Float/Front Office Support team member to join our team at the HeartPlace clinics in the Dallas/Fort Worth TX area.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a float MA, providing patient care support as assigned.• Oversee daily assignment and scheduling of float MAs and Front Office staff to meet clinic coverage needs.• Monitor workload distribution and proactively adjust float team support based on operational priorities.• Provide training, mentoring, and onboarding for new float team members.• Serve as a point of contact for float staff, offering guidance and support with workflows and policies.• Partner with Operations and Clinic Leadership to address performance concerns, including coaching and disciplinary actions as appropriate.• Promote consistent adherence to organizational standards, policies, and patient care protocols.• Foster teamwork, professionalism, and accountability within the float team.• Assist in identifying process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce coverage gaps, and enhance patient experience.
Requirements:
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required.• Minimum [2] years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.• Prior leadership, team lead, or preceptor/trainer experience strongly preferred but not required.• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinic needs and environments.• Demonstrated ability to foster positive team culture and hold team members accountable.
