Description
Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist- Part Time Position
Samuel Family Cardiology is adding to the team and in search of Part Time Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist for our practice located in Spring, TX.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Explains procedure to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results
- Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician
- Performs diagnostic exams including Cardiac PET studies on patients as prescribed by physician, including treadmill supervision and starting IVs.
- Knowledge and routine use of digital image storage system (Studycast) and associated workflow software.
- Performs Calcium scores and SPECT studies
- Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials
- Maintains quality control of all equipment
- Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
- Attends required meetings
- Performs related work as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Must be experienced and work independently in a very busy private cardiology practice setting
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
- Must be registered with ARRT or NMTCB
- 2 years of experience is preferred in Spect and PET
- BLS/CPR Certification
Schedule Details:
- Two days per week
- No weekends
