Medical Practice Scheduler (1649)

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Temporary Medical Practice Scheduler to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson AZ.

Responsibilities:

• Answers phone calls in a timely and efficient manner using the AIDET customer service key words
• Transfers calls according to procedures
• Schedules appointments in a timely and efficient manner
• Schedules appointments as directed by referring providers
• Uses scheduling books routinely
• Pages providers for hospital consults/call backs according to procedures
• Confirming of appointments
• Enters authorization information on patient account in computer
• Maintains information in a confidential manner
• Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner
• Attended required meetings and participates in committees as required
• Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
• Performs related work as required

Requirements:

• 1 year reception or phone operator experience is required
• Medical reception preferred, cardiology experience a plus
• Knowledge in the healthcare setting
• Ability to effectively communicate
