Description
US Heart and Vascular is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Cardiac Device Monitoring Coordinator to manage and maintain patient accounts enrolled in our pacemaker and cardiac device remote monitoring program with Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ
Position Summary:
This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients remain compliant with remote transmissions, accounts are accurately maintained, and providers receive and sign off timely device data to support high-quality cardiac care.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating with cardiac patients regarding device monitoring and follow-up needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily oversight of remote pacemakers and cardiac device monitoring platforms.
- Identify patients who are not transmitting device data per scheduled intervals.
- Proactively contact patients by phone or secure messaging to:
- Troubleshoot home monitoring equipment
- Reinforce compliance with transmission schedules
- Confirm continued care with the practice
- Verify if monitoring should be discontinued (e.g., transfer of care, device removal, relocation, deceased patients)
- Document all patient outreach, outcomes, and account updates in the EHR and remote monitoring systems.
- Clean up and reconcile inactive or outdated monitoring accounts.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and device clinic staff regarding noncompliant or high-priority patients.
- Assist with billing support by ensuring active monitoring accounts meet documentation requirements.
- Generate compliance and monitoring reports for providers and practice leadership.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a cardiology practice, medical office, or remote monitoring program preferred.
- Experience with cardiac device platforms (e.g., Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, Biotronik) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical documentation processes.

- Ability to explain technical instructions in simple, patient-friendly language.
