Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Lead Call Center Representative to join our team at Memorial Katy Cardiology in Katy, TX
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with managers on workflow improvements, scheduling, new initiatives, and call escalations.
- Answers phone calls expediently and refer inquiries to the appropriate parties as needed.
- Schedules and confirms patient appointments over the phone.
- Explains health center procedures to patients.
- Verifies medical insurance coverage and eligibility and expires on any insurance that is not active.
- Informs patients with account balances and correct billing amounts.
- Notifies patients with insurance co-pays.
- Verifies patient demographic information.
- Ensures accuracy of the information in telephone messages and deciphers the correct amount to charge a self-pay or sliding fee schedule for patients.
- Takes payments over the phone.
- Provides referral status information to patients.
- Follows processes and policies for the organization.
- Fosters the goals of team building within the clinic/center staff.
- Manages quality improvement and safety initiatives
- When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Fosters a team-oriented environment by encouraging cooperation, providing support, and resolving conflicts constructively.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
- Three (3) months of experience in customer service is required
- Cardiology practice experience preferred.
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing in English, to various audiences.
- Ability to manage time, organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on work assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently, and as a team, to complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
- Knowledge of Office 365 programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Working knowledge of Office 365 programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Working knowledge of EMR system
