Cardiology Nurse Practitioner
Practice: Cardiovascular Clinic of Covington
Location: Covington, LA
Position Type: Full-Time | Primarily Clinic-Based
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join Cardiovascular Clinic of Covington in Covington, Louisiana. This position is primarily outpatient and clinic-focused, with limited inpatient support. The NP will work closely with cardiologist to provide high-quality cardiovascular care, manage follow-up visits, and support continuity of care for established patients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established cardiology practice with a strong emphasis on patient-centered, comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
Outpatient Clinic Care (Primary Focus)
- Conduct outpatient clinic visits, including routine follow-ups, chronic disease management, and evaluation of ongoing cardiac concerns.
- Support continuity of care by following patients post-hospitalization and integrating them into ongoing outpatient management.
- Provide clinical support within the cardiology clinic, including patient education and assistance with diagnostic testing such as imaging, treadmill studies, and cardiac monitoring.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure efficient patient flow and a well-coordinated clinic experience.
Inpatient & Hospital Support (Limited Daily Component)
- Assist with hospital-based follow-up and coordination of care in collaboration with the cardiology team.
- Support smooth transitions from hospital to outpatient care.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana.
- Prior cardiology experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in an outpatient setting; comfort supporting limited inpatient consults.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, physician-led team.
