Description

US Heart and Vascular is needing a Cardiac Device Technician to join our team at Memorial Katy Cardiology in Katy TX,

Summary:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with implantable loop recorders, pacemakers, and other cardiac rhythm management devices. This role also requires familiarity with medical office operations, including electronic health records and patient scheduling.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform interrogation, programming, and troubleshooting of pacemakers, loop recorders, and other cardiac devices under physician supervision.
  • Monitor and interpret remote device transmissions and generate reports for physician review.
  • Assist with in-office device checks and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Educate patients on device care, remote monitoring, and follow-up protocols.
  • Coordinate with cardiologists and other clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of device data, patient interactions, and follow-up schedules.
  • Support general medical office tasks such as scheduling, patient intake, and documentation as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree, technical school certification, or college coursework in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with cardiac devices (pacemakers, loop recorders, ICDs).
  • Prior experience in cardiology or medical office setting strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
