Scrub Technician (2635)

US Heart and Vascular in needing a Scrub Tech to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham AL.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for vein procedures
• Assist physicians and nurses during vein treatments. And procedures
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation
• Educate patients on pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions
• Prepare and position patients for procedures
• Apply compression wraps, stockings, and post-procedure dressings
• Monitor patient comfort and report any changes in condition to clinical staff
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Schedule procedures, follow-up appointments, and diagnostic testing
• Clean and sterilize instruments and procedure rooms according to policy
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1-2 years of medical assistant experience preferred
• Experience in vascular, surgical, interventional or vein clinic setting preferred
• Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural assisting
• Excellent patient service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
