Description

US Heart and Vascular is needing a Referral Coordinator to join our team at HeartPlace in Arlington, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates appointments for patients.
  • Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorization for referrals as required.
  • Communicates with patients regarding referral appointments and instructions.
  • Maintains accurate records of referral requests and approvals.
  • Conducts follow-up on pending referrals and ensures timely processing.
  • Collaborates with medical staff to expedite urgent referrals when necessary.
  • Provides assistance and support to patients navigating the referral process.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies.
  • Inputs referral information into electronic health record systems accurately.
  • Communicates with insurance companies or third-party payers to resolve referral-related issues.
  • Assists with administrative tasks as needed in the referrals department
  • When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED from accredited institution.
  • If the individual in the role will drive for work purposes, a current valid state driver's license and required minimum auto insurance coverage
  • Cardiology practice experience is preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of EMR systems.
  • Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of USHV and the practices.
