Full Job Description
US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the Cardiology Specialists of Acadiana.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform PETCT scans
- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
- Follow safety procedures to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as required
- Operate imaging equipment
- Maintain detailed and accurate procedure records
- Follow all radiation safety and disposal procedures
Requirements, Skills, and Abilities
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
- Registered with ARRT or NMTCB
- CT/Fusion certification
- BLS/CPR certification
