How you can make a difference
- Own and maintain monthly physician and advanced practice provider compensation reconciliations and accruals.
- Support compensation model development and implementation efforts across national medical group using forecasting and large datasets to summarize and present to executive leadership.
- Maintain compensation database and analytics for national medical group.
- Run quarterly compensation cap calculations for physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Serve as subject matter expert and provide business partner level support to market executive leadership for all provider compensation inquiries within assigned markets.
- Often required to lead projects and assist with development/implementation of new processes and procedures within the Compensation Team.
- Maintain current knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to physician arrangements, fair market value and commercial reasonableness testing.
- Partner with third party consultants to request, review and maintain FMV opinions.
- Maintain in depth understanding of compensation application per terms driven by physician agreements, amendments and provider offer letters.
Skills for success
- Experience performing under pressure with a keen sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing what you say you will do.
- Advanced Excel skills (i.e. – large datasets, graphs, tables, nesting formulas)
- Present and analyze large amounts of data in many user-friendly ways while providing concise, attractive, and illustrated reports.
- Analytical and audit application experience within small and large datasets.
- Taking initiative and working independently on complex projects/initiatives with the ability to manage time and prioritize.
- Passion for being hands-on in problem-solving and execution.
- Demonstrate humility through your actions, relationships and communications with others.
- Experience communicating effectively with high-level executives.
Experience to drive change
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- A minimum of 3 years of provider compensation analyst experience.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage and pivot between competing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, a high attention to detail, and critical problem-solving skills to garner credibility and develop strong relationships.
- Desire to be hands-on with a track record of “rolling up your sleeves” and being proactive to drive organizational goals.
- Ability to travel as needed.

For Colorado Residents only: The target hiring compensation range for this role is $74,000 to $93,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
